Interactive Canvas
Date: December, 2011
Development Environment: Processing IDE
Interactive Canvas is inspired partly by WebCanvas, an online drawing where users interact with each other by drawing on a single canvas: http://webcanvas.com/.
With Interactive Canvas, however, I wanted to have the users interact using their bodies and movements instead of mouse clicks. Interactive Canvas considers the user–computer interaction, as in how would a person interact with this and understand that their movements are “painting” on the screen. I also consider the human–human interaction in that multiple people can “paint” on the screen at the same time or paint onto the screen after others have come and gone.
